Cultivate was selected as the BioBag Community Hero of the Month for November 2025. With Cultivate’s goal to reduce its 2% waste to ZERO, composting emerged as the logical next step. On pace to rescue 6 million pounds of food this year, a surprisingly little amount is unusable to Cultivate. This small amount, mostly scraps from the kitchen, is prioritized to be given to local farmers for feed. What is leftover from that, is then composted, using BioBag compostable bags. The bags streamline the composting process, while also making it less messy. All compost can now be handled in the same process as garbage.
