Did you ever dream that your neighborhood food rescue charity would be on national television? We didn’t either! We’re so grateful for partners like our friend Natalie Bickel with Elkhart Community Schools, who connected us with the Rachael Ray Show and went to New York to film it with our own Randy Z., co-founder and general manager.
Randy and Natalie were able to share about the backpack program, which – thanks to your support – is feeding 400 hungry schoolchildren on weekends. Rachael Ray herself is passionate about getting good, nutritious food into the hands of those who need it, and she showed her support to the program by helping to secure Cultivate a grant from the Kroger Foundation, and matching it herself.
Thank you so much to Rachael Ray, Kroger and their Zero Hunger initiative, and Natalie Bickel with Elkhart Community Schools for taking the journey with us!
If you missed the show when it aired last month, you can watch it here.
